Kieran Joseph Brennan

Kieran is Mikey's one minute younger twin brother; while Mikey was born at 7:44am, Kieran was born at 7:45am. In contrast to Mikey, Kieran is left handed (which is common a contrast in twins) and left footed, but eats right handed. In further contrast, Kieran is not musical like his brother, and although he has interest in music - namely hip-hop and grime - he shares a stronger interest in gaming and sports such as football. His interest in gaming is mentioned in Mikey's song "Mean Mikey", in the lyric, "Kieran, put that xBox, away!". Both Mikey and Kieran attended nursery at Tiny Tony Tots, Nursery in Bearsted, Kent and primary school at Holy Family Roman Catholic Primary School in Park Wood, Kent. However, unlike Mikey who left after Year Four, following his transfer to special needs school, Bower Grove School, Kieran made it through the entire school from Year R. to Year Six. After leaving Holy Family, he went to St. Simon Stock Catholic School where he commenced with his secondary school education, and going on to achieving A in GCSE I.T. and C in Business (he received a D in Business first time round, only a few marks off a C grade, but after a remark the grade went up) and Cs in GCSE Maths and English in 2015 (he passed English first time round, and retook Maths in November, 2015). At sixth form he studied A Levels in IT and Business where after three years he achieved a B in IT and a C in Business.

Della Josephine Brennan and Barry Grogan

Della Josephine Brennan and Barry Grogan are the biological parents of Mikey and his brother, Kieran. They are both of Irish heritage; however, while Barry was born in Ireland, Della was born in Luton. Their relationship history is unknown, but it is implied that they separated prior to the birth of Mikey and Kieran, as the birth certificates of both of the boys is shown to only contain their mother's name (which could also explain why the boys ended up with their mother's surname, "Brennan" instead of their father's surname, "Grogan"). The fete of their relationship after the fostering of their boys remains unknown, whether or not they got back together or went onto to other separate relationships. Prior to the fostering of her sons, Della raised them for a short three year period in a flat in Leytonstone where they were born; information regarding the reason behind the fostering is unknown.

Diane Mary Care and Mark Ian Care

Diane Mary (née Scott) (born 2nd March) and Mark Ian Care (born 3rd June) are the foster parents of Mikey and his brother, Kieran; they fostered the boys when they were three years old and raised them in Maidstone. While Mark was born and raised in Maidstone all his life, Diane is of Scottish heritage and was born in Scotland, Aberdeen, where she was raised for a short period of time before moving to England at a young age. Her parents Elizabeth-Anne "Anne" (née Adamson) and Frederic "Fred" Scott divorced when she was very young, because of this she hardly ever saw her father as a child. Her mother, Anne (Brennan's grandmother) has phonophobia due to being raised during the era of World War 2 and experiencing the sounds of bombing. Diane is the second eldest of five siblings; her older brother, Fred, Dawn, Deborah and Wendy (deceased). Her sister, Deborah resides in France. Mark is the eldest son of Angelia and Michael "Mick" Care. His younger brothers are Steven (middle) and Richard (youngest). Diane and Mark met in a nightclub in Gillingham in the '90s and married on 25th May, 1996. Mark works as a full time self-employed carpenter, while Diane works as a homemaker which she pursued after fostering Mikey and Kieran, before she worked as a nursery carer and office worker.
